Lupe Solano’s Interview

Twenty-eight year old Cuban-American private investigator Lupe Solano reveals her thoughts on many subjects: her work as a private investigator; her family; her love for Miami; the importance of food; and, of course, the men in her life.

  • When are you the happiest?
When I am with my family; when I’m working on a complicated case; when I’ve had a delicious meal with lots of wine- accompanied by an excellent (or two) bottle of Bordeaux; when I’ve had great sex (those examples are not necessarily in order of importance).
  • What kind of cases do you most enjoy working on?
Definitely criminal- ones that include my working in close (very) proximity with both Tommy MacDonald and Detective Anderson- and the ‘bad guys’ are brought to justice as a result of my investigation.
  • What do you like the most about Miami?
The climate: warm winters; the sunsets; soft evening breezes.
  • What do you like least about Miami?
The climate: brutally hot summers; humidity; hurricanes.
  • What is your most valued possession?
Actually, there are two: my Beretta and the black leather Chanel bag I carry it in.
  • What is your favorite meal?
Oh, it’s so hard to chose! Pretty much anything Cuban as long as it’s tasty, greasy; fattening (no tall food, please)- and in large quantities.
  • Are you attracted to a certain kind of man? If so, what qualities should he have?
Yes- I like certain types. Definitely intelligent; with a wicked sense of humor; a take-charge kind of person who acts with authority. I can’t stand indecisive people- not possessive; Also, attractive, of course- he has to make my heart race faster and my knees shake (well, shake a little).
